Look What I Found Friday

When ripping up the carpet in our bedroom I found a Christmas card.
 
Inside, it reads:

 For the one I love, so near, so dear

Always and forever

I LOVE YOU!!!

Not only at Christmas time, but every minute, every hour, every day & every year.

How on earth does a Christmas card get under two layers of carpet?
Was someone hiding it? Did they put it there to keep it safe? How long has it been there? Who is Brian, Babes and Shannice?
