My Pea - Week 11
Days 71 to 77
Your baby is growing quickly right now. The umbilical cord is fully formed around this time and is taking nourishment to your developing baby, as well as taking waste products away (like the pee pee!). Your baby is starting to look like a small person. Eyes and ears are completely formed, inside and out. Extend your little finger. That's about the size of your baby right now. The weight is approximately 10 grams, or about a third of an ounce. Your baby would now fit in the palm of your hand.

weee so small! it's so weird to think that despite a sizeable bump at 11 weeks, the baby is so tiny wee!x
ReplyDeleteI know! It's crazy! Apparently my womb is slightly larger than a grapefruit, so that will explain the belly bulge!
ReplyDeleteAah, I remember these emails, we used to get them from Babycentre. For some reason they were obsessed with comparing the baby size to supermarket produce - the most memorable being "Your baby is now the size of HALF a banana!"
ReplyDeleteHi Lakota, i know, I have found a few that compare the pea to fruit and vegetables. I thought those kind of updates are much more fitting considering what we're affectionately calling it at the monent!
